Class Description

Join us for a full-day workshop at the intersection of quilting, technology, and creativity. We’ll begin with an introduction to the fundamentals of artificial intelligence, exploring how these concepts can inspire and transform the quilting process. Through an engaging trunk show, we’ll connect AI to classic art movements such as Impressionism, Pop Art, and Fauvism while discussing prompt creation, copyright considerations, and ethical practices.

Participants will then move from theory to practice, using AI tools to develop quilt blueprints informed by color theory and thoughtful design techniques. As the workshop progresses, you’ll refine your digital designs and prepare them for fabric selection and resizing. The day concludes with hands-on application of my signature “commando appliqué” method, using provided kits to transform digital concepts into tangible works of art—bringing pixels to life as quilts.
