Class Description
Remember the joy of finger paints in kindergarten? This full-day workshop brings that energy back—minus the naptime (though no judgment if you sneak one in after).
We’ll start by ditching the jargon and learning to see colors as part of a neighborhood—your housemates, neighbors, and sometimes tricky in-laws. Then, instead of just talking about it, you’ll dive in:
- Mix paints to make your own color wheel.
- Experiment with light, medium, and dark values so you can finally see why your stash is heavy on middle values.
- “Shop” from my chaotic fabric store of scraps and leftovers for real-world practice pulling color combos that sing.
By the end of the day, you’ll leave with a color wheel you created, hands-on experience mixing, matching, and layering, and a big dose of childlike freedom. Because sometimes the best way to grow your quilting confidence is to let go of perfection and rediscover the joy of color.
You might be:
- Craving more practice beyond theory
- Tired of kits and ready to trust your own color eye
- Looking for a hands-on way to lock in color concepts
- Ready to reconnect with your creative kid self
