Class Overview
Forget the intimidating art-school jargon. In this half-day workshop, we’ll explore color the way quilters actually use it—by looking at the “neighborhood” where our fabrics live. You’ll meet color housemates, get to know the tricky in-laws, and finally understand why most fabric collections seem stuffed with 97 bajillion medium-value prints but barely a whisper of lights or darks.
Using approachable language and hands-on exercises, you’ll learn how colors interact, how to spot gaps in your stash, and how to make confident choices for your projects. We’ll also play with a few easy (and free) apps that can help organize your color palettes without adding stress.
Come curious, leave confident—and maybe even a little smug next time you pull from your stash instead of running to buy another kit.
You Might Be:
- Excited by new quilting techniques but not confident about color
- Aware that your stash is perpetually growing instead of shrinking
- Uncomfortable pulling fabrics from leftovers and scraps
- Curious to finally get color without the overwhelm
