Class Overview
First Hour
An interactive introduction to artificial intelligence, demystifying AI concepts. This sets the foundation for understanding the AI-quilting connection.
Second Hour
A small trunk show to inspire ideas, a deep dive into how AI applies to quilting, and a discussion of art movements influencing modern quilting, focusing on Impressionism, flat imagery, pop art, and Fauvism. We’ll explore prompt generation and discuss copyright issues.
Third Hour
We’ll touch on color concepts, and then students will start creating their unique designs using AI, which will be the blueprint for their quilts. This is a hands-on session where everyone gets to play with design, guided by my knowledge of artificial intelligence tools, chroma, and value.
